Daniela Schulthais is a Brazilian-born psychoanalysis practitioner and cultural researcher based in New York City, with a unique background that bridges fashion, branding and clinical studies. She holds a postgraduate degree in Psychoanalysis and Contemporary Studies and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health.
Aside her clinical studies, Daniela works in branding and editorial roles across the fashion industry, where she's developed, over the past 10 years, a sharp eye for aesthetics, visual language, and the subtle codes that shape personal style. This experience deepened her understanding of fashion not merely as adornment, but as a powerful site of identity construction, desire, and social performance. Her work today continues to explore the symbolic systems that mediate our relationship to the world, whether through clothing, language, or relational life.
In her current practice, Daniela investigates the intersection of psychoanalysis and cultural studies, with a focus on gender, intergenerational trauma, and the unconscious impact of collective history.
